Myself and my husband were roaming the streets of Ottawa last summer. We were as lost as tourists usually are. After walking a few blocks we noticed that all the crowd were headed in a particular direction. Curious as we were, we followed and found out that there was going to be a parade happening on that street in a few minutes.
We really did not have any pressing commitments so decided to stay on to watch the parade. It turned out to be one of the most interesting parades in my life.
We had not looked up anything about this parade before. We did not know there was going to be a parade to begin with. (Blissfully unaware!)
The parade was in support of the homosexual community in Canada. It was a wonderful different experience for myself and my husband. It provided topics for some very interesting conversations for us.
